VERSUS PRIVACY POLICY


By continuing to use VERSUS (http://versusplus.com), you agree to abide by the conditions of this Privacy Policy and the VERSUS User Agreement (at http://versusplus.com/useragreement.html), which User Agreement is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to any term in this Privacy Policy or the VERSUS User Agreement, please do not use the VERSUS website.

http://versusplus.com) and mediaV LLC [a Meyer Shaffer Company] (referred to herein as “VERSUS/mediaV”) we appreciate your readership and value your personal privacy. In adopting this privacy policy, our intent is to balance our legitimate business interests in collecting and using your personally identifiable information with your reasonable expectations of privacy. Our privacy policy may be revised or updated at any time without prior notice, and we encourage you to check back often to ensure that you are familiar with the most recent version and the terms of our policy.  

You provide personally identifiable information to VERSUS/mediaV when you share your e-mail address, and any other personally identifiable information, in any e-mail communications from you to VERSUS/mediaV: for example, and without limitation, when you subscribe to the site, or send comments, or request technical support, or request information about VERSUS/mediaV, or send questions, or request information about using VERSUS parodies. You may also provide personally identifiable information by utilizing the VERSUS website's "E-Mail This Page To A Friend" function, but the e-mail addresses that you supply to use this function will only be used to send the requested page.

If you navigate from a link on the VERSUS website to another website or entity, that other website or entity may collect or use information about you. The VERSUS privacy policy does not cover the privacy practices of any website or entity or person other than VERSUS/mediaV, and VERSUS/mediaV have no responsibility or liability therefor.

VERSUS/mediaV access and/or collect information that is not personally identifiable. By way of example, non-personally identifiable information can include information such as the operating system you are working on, the resolution of your screen, the internet browser you are using, if your computer has Adobe Flash installed and which version, the domain name of your internet service provider, the IP address of the computer you are using to access the VERSUS website, the amount of time you spend on the VERSUS website, the pages on the VERSUS website you utilize, the parodies on the VERSUS website you utilize, the websites/links from which you navigate to VERSUS. Our contractors monitor the VERSUS website for the purpose of reporting traffic and statistics, and use monitoring technologies (including cookies), to compile non-personally identifiable statistics about our website visitors, and for other purposes. VERSUS/mediaV may share non-personally identifiable information with others, for any purpose.

The e-mail address you provide to VERSUS/mediaV in any communication from you to VERSUS/mediaV may be used by VERSUS/mediaV for any purpose, such as, for example, for contact for editorial purposes or to advise of changes to the VERSUS website or to announce news about VERSUS/mediaV.  

Your e-mail communications to VERSUS are not secure. If you include any personally identifiable information in any e-mail from you to us, you do so at your own risk and VERSUS/mediaV have no responsibility or liability therefor. Your e-mail communications utilizing the VERSUS website's "E-Mail This Page To A Friend" function are not secure. If you include any personally identifiable information in utilizing the VERSUS website's "E-Mail This Page To A Friend" function, you do so at your own risk and VERSUS/mediaV have no responsibility or liability therefor. 

VERSUS/mediaV have a policy that neither they nor any of their personnel or agents shall accept or consider any unsolicited material, ideas or suggestions of any nature whatsoever ("Unsolicited Materials"). Accordingly, you may not use the VERSUS website or information obtained therefrom to submit Unsolicited Materials to VERSUS/mediaV via any means (including, without limitation, via mail, fax or e-mail). Should you nevertheless contravene this express prohibition by sending Unsolicited Materials to VERSUS/mediaV, please be advised that the Unsolicited Materials will not be considered by anyone at VERSUS/mediaV, and they will be deleted or destroyed, with no copies kept. Again, your e-mail communications to VERSUS/mediaV are not secure; if you send Unsolicited Materials in or as an attachment to any e-mail from you to us, you do so at your own risk and VERSUS/mediaV have no responsibility or liability therefor.

Only VERSUS/mediaV and their personnel, contractors and agents have access to your personally identifiable information, and you will never be contacted by any party other than VERSUS/mediaV or their personnel, contractors and agents. The only exceptions to the foregoing are that we may disclose personally identifiable information (i) in response to legal process, for example, in response to a court order or subpoena, (ii) in response to a law enforcement agency’s request, or where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take actions regarding suspected illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of another person, violations of our terms of use, or as otherwise required by law or policy, or (iii) in the event we are acquired by or merged with another company. 

When you receive e-mail communications from VERSUS/mediaV, you will always be given the chance to opt out of receiving those e-mail communications. You may change your preferences at any time by sending an e-mail to 
unsubscribe@versusplus.com. You will be contacted in manners consistent with your stated preferences.

The VERSUS website is hosted in the United States and is intended for and directed to users in the United States. If you access the VERSUS website from the European Union, Asia, or any other region with laws or regulations governing personal data collection, use, and disclosure that differ from U. S. laws, please be advised that through your use of the VERSUS website, which is governed by U.S. law, this Privacy Policy, and our User Agreement, incorporated by reference herein, you are transferring your information (non-personally identifiable and/or personally identifiable) to the United States and you consent to that transfer. Also, irrespective of your location, please note that your information may be stored and processed in the U. S. or any other country where VERSUS/mediaV or our contractors or agents have facilities, and by your use of the VERSUS website, you consent to the transfer of information outside of your country.

You are not required to share any personally identifiable information with VERSUS/mediaV to gain complete access to our VERSUS website in its current form. If you choose to share any personally identifiable information with VERSUS/mediaV, it is solely at your own option and solely at your own risk.
